Yawn... Been quite a while since my last post.
Death Note, Summon Night 2, and some random stuff...
Not much happening. But decided to post anyway^.^(What a idiot...)
SobSob... He/she called me an idiot!!(Aww... Gonna call ur mommy?)
Nope, I'm gonna infect you with.. Lolitis.(WTF?!!111!shift+1)
Recently, for no particular reason, my friends started catching this
weird yet fascinating disease. Having said a sentance, they would
randomly add a ''heh'' at the end. Woe to the person who
invented this disease.(That would be...you?)
Shut up. Heh.
Feeling lost.. Sometimes I wonder why am I doing this.
This is not me. Like a fish out of water.. Or a
Marionette in a game shop... Or a married man in a singles
bar..
So many examples... All fit into my puzzle of a life.
10 years from now, what will I look like? What will be my
personality? Will I be a whole new... Stranger??
Will I still have the same friends as I have now??
Will I be rich? Poor? Popular? Loner? Lucky? Downright
unlucky? What kind of job will I have?? A biomedical researcher??
A IT worker? Or even a full time 7-eleven worker??
So many farking questions...
My head is spinning..Turning...Twisting...
Paining...
Finally, Calm, peaceful...And quiet... Darkness...
(Snake?SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!)*mgs pun*
Shaddap.

Lets change the mood abit.
Instead of depressing posts and emotionless stuff,
lets talk about what most of my readers are interested in:
GAMES!(For non-gamers or uninterested people, please skip this post)
(Before I start, I know O lvls are coming and
I should be studying, but no worries, I know how to control
myself unlike some people. So thank you for your unneeded
concern. I fully appreciate it.)
*Non-gamers alert*
Today I'm going to talk about a recent Playstation 2
release: Okami.
Bought it after a internal struggle with myself. (Okami
Disgaea 2... Okami or Disgaea 2...) In the end I
felt I didn't need another strategy game after playing
'others' recently. So I went on to buy Okami today.
In Okami, you basically play as a God in wolf clothing.
Some idiot unsealed a demonic 8-headed serpent and
it all falls down to you to save Japan, and the world, by
rejuvenating Guardian Tree to remove curses
laid on lands by the serpent.
Graphics, the factor that gives me the first impression in
games, was fortunately quite good in this game.
Quite good is an understatement. I should say
its almost perfect. It IS 3D(obviously), but the developers
used a different approach. Its like... Japanese calligraphy.
Sounds strange, doesn't it?? But somehow, the developers
mixed these 2 into a masterpiece. Lush trees,
beautiful water effects, detailed environment, and
did I say beautiful water effects?? Hell, when you
run around FLOWERS even sprout on every step you take!!
The whole game(which is freakin' big) is one gigantic
disc of ''Sweet mother of God'' graphics. Just reading this
is inadequate to deliver the true image of the game
to you readers, so go see some movie and understand
what it means by ''OWNAGE''. An honourable
mention is the part
when a Guardian Tree is revived. The flowers
start sprouting, the grass begins growing,
and water becomes crystal clear and flows
down cliffs, becoming waterfalls. 1 word,
''HolyshitwhatkindofgodgameisohrightthisisagodgamewhatthehellamItalkingabout''
The game is not wholely about graphics(although
it is EXTREMELY good). The main point is
about the gameplay.Early on, you are just a regular wolf.
Fighting is relatively simple, although enemies require
innovative strategies to defeat.(Play it youself)
Do some tutorial stuff and they will teach you
Brush Techniques. 13 of them to be learned from
other fellow gods. Oh god.... The brush...
The reason I bought the game is mostly because
of the brush. Simply put, hold R1 to pause the
game and the screen turns into
parchment paper. Than, press square and by using
the left analog to guide the brush, draw whatever
is required. This is the way you use your god powers.
Slashing, summon trees, summon bombs,
call forth wind, grow lilypads and flowers,
rejuvenate trees, turn night into day.
13 of them. From simple brushstrokes(slashing
needs only to draw a straight line) to complex
ones(To call wind... Cant describe.. Resembles
a infinity sign. But infinity sign it is not).
Best part: you can use them ANYWHERE!!!
From killing foes in battle to helping villagers,
interact with the environment as you will. Slash trees
down for fun, bomb people, dig up their crops
and eat it(you are a wolf, remember??), restore stuff
people lost, revive dying trees... The list goes on.
This is like Grand Theft Auto on steroids.
You get the picture here. Near absolute freedom.
Demons getting the jump on you??
No worries, Slash them back in midair.
Don't want to wait till morning to do quests??
A sinple brushtroke, and night is no more.
Okay.... The flaws. Lets see... ''Holyshit'' graphics..
''WTF'' gameplay... Only flaw I see is that there
is no voice acting whatsoever. So erm.. yeah..
Eh....Uh.... *whinge*
Playing as a god has never been more funner, more
addictive, more innovative and with stunning graphics to
boot. A fitting final farewell gift for the PS2...
I shall stop writing here now. Later.
